R&B singer Frank Ocean will finally release his long-awaited follow-up to 2012's Grammy award winning album, 'Channel Orange'. Yesterday, Ocean posted a picture on social media that indicated the arrival of his new magazine, titled 'Boys Don't Cry'.
Ocean wrote the following caption in the picture, "'I got two versions. Twoooo versions.' #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY.
While this caption was very cryptic, a representative for Ocean confirmed to the music publication Billboard that Ocean will release both a new album AND his own magazine in July. Reportedly, Ocean has worked with a variety of producers, which include Hit-Boy, Pharrell Williams, Danger Mouse, and Rodney Jerkins.

'Channel Orange' won best urban contemporary album and was nominated for album of the year at the 2013 Grammys. The album featured a top 40 hit in 'Thinking Bout You' and other songs, like 'Pyramids', 'Forrest Gump', 'Super Rich Kids', and 'Bad Religion'.
Since the release of 'Channel Orange', Ocean has guested on singer John Mayer's 'Paradise Valley', singer Beyonce's 'Beyonce' and rapper Jay-Z's 'Magna Carta Holy Grail'. But in terms of his own material, Ocean has shared only a handful of original songs over the last two and half years and it is not clear if any of them are going to be connected to this new album.

What's interesting to take notice of is that in an interview back in 2013, Ocean stated that he was being influenced by music from legendary 1960s groups, The Beatles and The Beach Boys. Although, there is no indicator if the musical direction for this upcoming album has changed since that interview.

Are you looking forward to a new album from Frank Ocean?
